Step 1. Enable logging on your computer:
a. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/223300 and click the Download button under "Enable Windows Installer Logging".
b. Double-click the .msi file that downloads to enable logging.
c. Restart your computer.
Step 2. Reproduce the issue — try to install FTM 2014.1.
Step 3. Locate the .LOG files and send them to us:
a. Type %tmp% in the File Explorer address line to go to the Temp folder.
b. Find all files with names that look like this: MSIxxxxx.LOG and copy them to a separate new folder (on the desktop, for example).
c. Right-click the folder and choose
Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder from the context menu.
d. Send the resulting archive file to us using our upload page:

Step 4. Disable logging on your computer:
a. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/223300 and click Download button under "Disable Windows Installer Logging".
b. Double-click the .msi file that downloads to disable logging.
