Deleting a Tree from FTM 2017 for Windows

How do I delete a tree from Family Tree Maker 2017 for Windows?

IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend that you do not delete trees unless you are absolutely sure you will not need them.  Instead, you can keep them as they are, save them to another location, or rename them (to tell them apart more easily).  That way, you have them to refer to if you need them.

1. Go to the Plan workspace and then click the New Tree tab.

2. In the Tree pane on the left, select the tree you want to delete, and then click Options.

3. Choose Delete Tree. The Delete Tree window will open.

4. If you want to delete the media files that are linked to the tree, click Move selected linked files, select the checkbox for the files you’d like to delete, and then click OK.
