How do I manage my historical timeline in Family Tree Maker?

With Family Tree Maker 2014-2014 you can edit, delete, and add to the historical events that come with Family Tree Maker.

With Family Tree Maker open:

  1. Click the Edit menu and select Manage Historical Events.

  2. The Manage Historical Events window should now be open. In the bottom left corner of the window, you will see 3 buttons. Each is explained below.

    • New – can be used to create a new historical timeline event. Clicking new, you will be presented with a window with fields regarding the event title, event date, place where the event occurred, category, and description.
    • Edit… - allows you to adjust information entered for the selected event.
    • Delete – is used to delete the selected event.
  3. After entering, editing, or deleting the desired data, click the Close button.
