How do I adjust what elements are showing for a fact in Family Tree Maker for Mac?

Adjusting fact elements

Family Tree Maker allows you to adjust what elements are showing for a fact. These include date, place, or description fields. To adjust what elements show for a fact:

  1. Click the Edit menu and select Manage Facts

  2. The Manage Facts window opens. Select the fact you want to adjust and click Properties

  3. The properties window for the selected fact will now open. Under the Fact Elements, select the bullet next to the items you want to have displayed for that fact and click Apply

  4. Click the Close button to exit the Manage Facts window
