On September 14, 2026, Apple released the macOS Golden Gate upgrade (version 27). We've outlined below the different editions of Family Tree Maker® and their compatibility status:
- FTM 2024 (25.0.2) - Fully compatible
- FTM 2019 (24.2.2) - Fully compatible
- FTM 2017 (23.3) - Compatible with issues
Export to FTM 3.1 format doesn't work, and only trees in FTM Mac 23.3 format can be opened. No patches are planned.
