On October 7, 2019, Apple released the macOS Catalina update (version 10.15). We've outlined below the different editions of Family Tree Maker and their compatibility status:
- FTM 2019 - Fully Compatible
- FTM 2017 - Compatible with Issues
Export and Photo Darkroom do not work, and only trees in FTM 2017 format can be opened. These have been fixed in the free 23.3 update.
- FTM Mac 3.1 - Compatible with Issues
Export doesn't work, and only trees in FTM Mac 3.1 format can be opened. No patches are planned.
- FTM Mac 1, 2 and 3 (Ancestry Editions) - Not Compatible
